Lovely Day For Spring

No comments:
It has been beautiful Spring time in our area lately. After my family and I visited the two awesome Priests in a retirement residence in Saint Mary's in Erie, we walked around the building and saw beautiful Spring flowers blooming. There were hyacinths and tulips on their garden landscapes. My son is enjoying the walk with me. He has a lovely smile in this photo. I think he's excited to see lots of colors at this time of the year.

Get an Air Purification System

No comments:

It's tough to know what's best for your indoor garden, what with all the gadgets for sale these days, it's tough to know which ones you should get. Every one claims to be the best, that can't possibly be true. I think it's important to find a state of the art air purification system – especially if you are in a major metropolitan area, with smoggy air. Get one that will fit in your budget and also encourage your plants to thrive.

Sunny Walk

My kids loves to walk outside these days. There are times that the sun feels like it's biting their skin as they easily have some slight rash. This is when sunscreen lotion is needed and I applied it to their skin. We're just walking around the neighborhood, about 2 blocks. I do this in the afternoons so that by the time we get back home, they will want to have some sleep.

How is the weather in your place these days?

Walmart Aquarium

The other day, we went to Walmart and I took my youngest son to the area where he can see many fish. He felt excited because the fish will come closer when he touch his fingers to the aquarium glass. I looked at the prices and it's amazing that a small goldfish is worth more than a gallon of milk. Yes. A gallon of milk is around $3 and this fish is around $4 and up. I remember I used to buy fish when I was a kid. I wish I can buy my kids some fish but till later when they themselves know how to take good care of an aquarium at home.

Do you have a fish bowl or aquarium at home?

Kitchen Design Idea

Last month, my husband and I scoured around Appliance Stores to find a new refrigerator. We were at Lowe's when I found this nice Kitchen Design. There were a couple more designs there but I liked this particular one. One could probably add more cupboards above the dishwasher and an arched kitchen window above the sink. I like the style because it's simple, elegant, white, and it has stainless steel dishwasher and refrigerator, and a kitchen island where you cook. I like the french door style refrigerator and it's about $2999. The Stainless dishwasher is about $1099. The gas cook top is $1149 and the Corian solid sink is $3073. I forgot to see the price of those white cabinets where you mount the fridge but I'm guessing that this kitchen make-over will amount less than $10,000. Will you believe it?

A kitchen design I liked at Lowe's.

Favorite Chinese Food

Do you go to Chinese buffets? Do you have a favorite Chinese food? We don't go so much to Chinese buffet as it is expensive, but on special occasion we might eat there. My mom in law gave us a treat and she insisted that she wants to do it for my anniversary. We went there with a good feast. Our local Chinese buffet is nice because they have a Hibachi stove where they can serve and cook fresh food that you mix in a plate. My kids usually love the thin noodles with lots of shrimps in it. My favorite food to eat is the Pork Siomai, some coooked mussels and shrimps. I am also beginning to like using chop sticks when eating my food!

Treat From Mom

My Mom in law decided to give us all a treat and have a dinner at a Chinese buffet for my 5th Anniversary. That was sweet of her and I thanked her for being thoughtful and kind to me. I know she is a woman of great heart when I first met her after I arrived here in the US. She has been like a real Mom to me ever. Smiles.

Family Lunch At Mcdonald's

Last month marked my 5th year anniversary of living here in the US. I thought of giving my family a treat so I told my husband that I want to treat him and my kids to Mcdonald's for lunch and head over to a park after. He said he would pay for it but I insisted to be the one paying for it so I will feel better of giving them treats once in a while or in special occasion. So here's my photos that day that we celebrated it last month. I know, it's kinda late to share it here but what struck me to post it is that I see happy smiles of my family. My heart leaps every time I see my kids smiling. I told them that it's mommy's anniversary of joining Daddy to live here in the US. They don't understand it very much, but Little G just greeted me Happy Anniversary and I kissed them and hugged them tight.

Sweetheart Frame

Happy Mothers day! How did your mothers day went today? Did you give your Mom a hug? Have some special treat for her? My Mother called me the other day through Skype and we greeted each other a Happy Mothers day. I'm happy to see her in the video call and she was happy to see her Grandsons in the computer. Long distance communication is quite a sacrifice of not being able to hug or kiss each other but we're grateful of the internet to have the Free Live video and chatting.

My mothers day went nice today. We went to Latin mass and instead of going to a park in Titusville, we stayed indoors because the temperature went down today. We have our usual get together at a close family friend's house living there instead. My husband took little G at Lowe's build and grow program yesterday. They had fun building together this Sweetheart frame. When George handed it to me, I thought it's a heart shaped chocolate box but once you open the outer heart, there's another heart inside it where you can put a picture in the frame. I haven't decided what picture I will put in it but I am happy that he made it for me.

Did you know that Lowe's offer kids build and grow program for free?

Fun Putt-putt Golf

This Sunday, my family and I played Putt-putt at the local Diary Queen. It was a nice day. The sun looks hot but the wind feels cold so here we are in long sleeve or in jackets. They have an 18-hole Mini-golf area and we played at our hearts content because we're the only costumer there. Each of us got clubs except for little V who is still young to understand the game. I am impressed of how diligent little G finished the 18 holes with his Daddy. There were times that I strike the ball way out of the game area. My concentration is of something else at those moments but lucky me, I got a hole in 1 on the 18th hole! The guy in the booth saw my lucky strike, congratulated me and told me to get either a free Sundae at DQ or a free game coupon. I chose the free sundae at that time so we can all share it. It was fun and I hope we can do that again in the next weeks.

Two Awesome Priests

Last Saturday, my family and I went to Erie, PA to attend Fr. Krause's Farewell party. The Bishop of Erie has confirmed his transfer to University of Notre Dame in Indianna. I felt tearful and at the same time missing him because I will always remember his being funny and at the same time very spiritual and religious soul. He is a beautiful priest as far as I know in the last 5 years. My husband and his family knows him very well for a very long time. He is also very special to us because he is the one who baptized Little V. He is a best friend of Fr. Levis who also baptized Little G, and that makes them both very special priests that brought significant memory in our kids lives. I am so happy that I got to take a picture of them both holding my kids. They can't believe how fast the babies have grown. I'm grateful that they both gave my kids a special blessing after our meeting.

Twilight Tulip

This tulip came out as a surprise in my garden today. I never seen it bloom before but I suspect that it is one of the left overs that the past owner of our house left 5 years ago. It stands out the rest of my garden in my front yard and I took a snap of it with my camera. It's funny because you know what it reminds me of the color? It's like the color of the feather on the book cover in Twilight New Moon. It's exactly dark red and white as if a blood dripped over a white tulip. It gave me goosebumps!

Beautiful blood stained tulip.

On Swimming Classes

I registered my two boys to attend swimming classes 2 times a week at our local YMCA. That's why I bought this swimming trunks in the same patterns but in different sizes. The reason on why they to have the same pattern is that I don't want them to fight on who wears what. I bought these at Walmart for $8.99 each. The price is pretty steep but they are stretchable and comfortable for the boys to wear. Not only they can use this for swimming but on their tumbling classes 2 times a week too. So far it worked and next week will be their 5th and last week to use this. I hope we can get our Beach plans push through in the next months at Lake Erie so the boys can still use their skills in swimming.

Tulip Garden

I feel so happy to see this beautiful tulips at Bett's park garden in our area lately. There were two rows of garden there and it has a variety of Spring and Summer flowers. Every Spring time, I want to visit that area because it reminds me of the first day I arrived here. My husband remembered that I took lots of tulip pictures and I expressed to him that I am indeed in the other side of the world where I see tulips growing in the ground. I told him that this flowers are very exotic to where I live in the tropics and we can only see them in fancy flower shops. Boy, those good old days! Years later, I got to plant tulips in my own backyard. I have this kind of color but after the next years, they got lesser (and lesser) because the bunnies likes to eat them. Oh well, so much about tulips, I can never get enough of admiring its simple beauty!
