The yummy Ampalaya dish.

I am so happy that these yummy goodies came in the mail very fast. I received it last week and I noticed that the 4th ampalaya got squished so I have to cook the rest as soon as possible. I want to thank Mommy Jhey for sharing these garden harvest of her friend to me. You can read her post here. I cooked them with eggs, onions and a clove of garlic. I also added some pepper for seasoning. I felt nostalgic. It brought back memories when I used to eat this in elementary, high school and college. Either my mom cook it or I just buy it at a carenderia for my lunch box. The English name of it is Bitter Gourd or Bitter Melon. It has lots of nutritious content but too much intake will also result to hypoglycemia. I rarely find this veggy in our local grocery store or Asian store. I love eating this particular ampalaya as it's bitter taste is not too strong.
