Church's Activity

No comments:
March 17, 2012 was the 25th Episcopal ordination of our Bishop in the Diocese of Tagbilaran. The ceremony started at 9:30 in the morning. The special guest was the Papal Nuncio to the Philippines, Archbishop Giuseppe Pinto. There were twenty one bishops also who attended the ceremony. During the Holy Mass, the main celebrant was Bishop Leonardo Medrozo. One thing that amazed me was the choir that sung Latin songs. Oh! it is so very heavenly.

Our Pet Cat

No comments:
I was so busy preparing food the other night for our dinner. After preparing everything, I went to the living room to rest for a while. Then one thing catches my attention in our sala set. My pet cat was lying on top of the clothing that my husband placed in one of the furniture. He was so relaxed and he was busy cleaning his feet. This cat always makes me happy especially when I am alone in the house. He plays around me and he always stays in the house as my companion.

My Flowering Pandakaki dwarf

2 comments:
I have a best friend who is a lover of plants especially the flowering ones. One day, she gave me the flowering pandakaki dwarf she bought from the plant shop. I placed it in a plastic flower pot. For three months, it did not produce plenty of flowers. So, I decided to transfer it in the vacant lot in front of our lawn. At least, the pandakaki dwarf plant can now be exposed to the sunlight. I have been observing the plant for one month. To my astonishment, it bears plenty of white flowers. My friend told me, it will bear continuous flowers as it is now placed in the right area.

Our Family Encyclopedia

When my kids were still in their elementary grade, I sent them to a private school. My reason is that, I want them to have a good foundation while they were still young. We are not that rich, but me and my husband agreed that we have to sacrifice for the sake of the education of our growing kids. Because of this, I was encouraged to buy a family encyclopedia for their future reference. I was not mistaken because it helps them a lot even when they were already in college. We bought these on credit at P16,000.00 in 1998. I took a picture of these books to remind me always that it is a good investment for our family.

Our Sala Set

No comments:
After I get married in 1984, we have no house yet. When I separated from my parents, my husband and I rented a small room in the city for our dwelling. Then, we started to buy some furnishings for our little home. In 1988, we first bought a sala set for the living room. It is made of wood. When we were able to build a new house of our own in 2003, I still brought this sala set to my new house. In 2007, I decided to replace the leatherette covering as it is already very old. It cost me P3,000.00 for the entire work. I was so happy that I was able to save money for this purpose.

My first sala set in 1988 until now.

A Memorable Day

No comments:

When my children were still little kids, we used to spend our family bonding in one of the fine restaurants in our place. As they grow up and when they start to study in college, we never practice this anymore as we have to save for payment of their tuition fees. Last March 2011, my son graduated from college and he luckily passed the Nursing Licensure Examination in July 2011. Six months after, he found a job as a private nurse. Unexpectedly, last Sunday, March 4, 2012 he treated the whole family for fine dining in one of the known restaurants in our place. I was really surprised. He let all of us order the food we like. Then, his father ordered the fish fillet with sweet and sour. I also ordered pancit canton and my youngest daughter ordered the signature food of the restaurant which is the jj’s chicken. Of course, the plain rice was there. I took a picture of the food we ordered as it was so memorable to me that my son shared his blessings with us.
