Hand Tools Around the House

No comments:
After our Christmas celebration last week, I keep my self busy arranging the things around the house. One thing that catch up my attention was the hand tools of my husband. I noticed that he has so many hand tools which were not arranged. Many were just placed inside a big wooden box. Some were placed in our cabinets and the others in our small storage room. He has no permanent place for his tools. I suggested to him to make a big cabinet for his simple machines. Every time we want to use one of his hand tools, we cannot easily locate them. He said, this will be one of his project next year. I was so thankful, at least his hand tools will soon be placed in a permanent place.

Christmas Celebration at Home

No comments:
In the morning of December 24, 2011, I already started preparing food for our noche buena. I only prepared three recipes. That is pork menudo, pork adobo and beef kare-kare. It was my first time to cooked the beef kare-kare. According to my husband, it was not attractive to look at but it taste good. I was so happy that my family like the food I prepared. My son made an ubi jam for our dessert. My hubby bought one pork ham and ice cream as ordered by my youngest daughter. After the Holy Mass at 1:00 a.m. we went home and the kids and I eat our noche buena. My husband was not around as he has his duty as a security guard. The following morning, December 25, 2011 we attended another Holy Mass scheduled at 9:00 a.m. at the Tagbilaran City Cathedral. At this time, my hubby was already with us. We went home together with our son and youngest daughter. We eat our simple celebration the four of us at home.

Our Christmas Tree at Home

4 comments:
Now that my kids are grown up, I have observe that they are already the ones doing of what are the needs at home. Last week, we were all surprised as my son, age 22, was the one putting up and decorating our Christmas Tree. He assembled our old Christmas Tree which I bought in 1997. The little manger that we have, he placed it at the foot of the Christmas Tree. I was also impressed because he make good use of the old colorful decoration that we have and surrounds it to the manger. Then he put on the Christmas lights which adds beauty to our little Christmas Tree. Everybody in the house were so happy especially her father when he saw it.

My Visit to Our Parent's House

1 comment:
After I attended the Holy Mass at our main parish, I felt hungry. Supposedly, I want to go home immediately but I changed my mind. Instead, I went to the house of my parents. It has been a month already since my last visit. The one occupying the said house were the family of my youngest brother. Every time I visited our parent's house, I always want to recollect all the memories of the said place. Upon entering the house, my sister-in-law welcomed me and she went at once to their kitchen to get some food for me. She automatically did this as she know already of what I need every time I visited them. After I ate my breakfast, I ask permission to leave at once because I have many household chores to do at home. Thanks God that I did not wait long and I was able to ride a jitney at once. On my way home, I really enjoyed watching the different colored stars which were hanged along the national highway. It was very colorful. These were the ideas of our village officials as part of our Christmas celebration in our village. Below are some of the picture of the stars which I took using the camera of my cellphone.

The Cucumber

No comments:
Cucumber is quite rich in vitamins and is a first class product for internal cleansing and against skin diseases. No wonder then that it is used as a beautifying agent. Those who rub their faces with cucumber peeling will realize its beautifying and cleansing effects. Cucumber acts both internally and externally. Its abundance in bases makes it capable of fighting off the accumulation of uric acid and other poisonous substances in the body. It cleanses and cures the intestines, stomach, liver, kidneys and throat.

I suffered a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) in year 2000. I was taking an anti biotic to minimize the pain I felt. When I read about the cure of cucumber, I tried drinking its juice. First, it was not attractive to the palate. But, I was determined because I want a natural cure. For almost one year, I keep on drinking the cucumber juice everyday. To my amazement, I did not feel the pain anymore until now. For almost eleven years already, I am no longer taking any anti biotic for UTI.
