How do you praise the Lord?

Hi folks, sorry for having been offline in posting new entries in this blog of mine. My Mama has been experiencing some troubles in their internet connection so it all up to me to continue writing. Anyways, I will keep up in maintaining this blog until she comes back.

Just today, I was inspired reading an email message of inspiring thoughts from Ruth Seebeck. She used to be one of our speakers in MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and I subscribed to her email list in receiving inspirational messages. So here's a short story from her that I would like to share to everyone.

A Merry Heart is Good Medicine …
There's a little old Christian lady living next door to an atheist.
Every morning the lady comes out onto her front porch and
shouts "Praise the Lord!".
The atheist yells back, "There is no God".
She does this every morning with the same result.
As time goes on, the lady runs into financial difficulties
and has trouble buying food. She goes out onto the porch
and asks God for help with groceries,
then says "Praise the Lord".
The next morning she goes out onto the porch and there
are the groceries she asked for, and of course, she shouts
"Praise the Lord!!!".
The atheist jumps out from behind a bush and says,
"Ha, I bought those groceries - there is no God".
The lady looks at him and smiles, she shouts "Praise the Lord,
not only did you provide for me Lord, you made Satan pay
for the groceries!!"

I laughed hard after I read this post. I laughed because the humor is very nice. I am inspired of the bravery that the old lady has. Imagine, she versus the Athiest? I can't imagine myself living without God in my life. I believe that when we hold on to our faith in God, we will be filled with miracles and graces in God's extraordinary ways. I pray the rosary everyday, at least once a day and our family goes to mass every Sunday except when we're sick. I pray for God's support and spiritual guidance. That may his wisdom sink into my soul so I will know what to do.

How do you praise the Lord? Have you had time seeking his wisdom these days?

  1. We praise the Lord with all our heart and soul. Yes, a merry heart is a good medicine and it adds years to our lives and happiness to those around us. Someday when we are already in heaven, what we will be doing will be to praise and worship the Lord for all His splendor and glory. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
